Basic settings are not a cure for every DSG problem. They are a calibration procedure used when the gearbox and clutch system are mechanically capable of completing the adaptation.

Technical note

If clutch wear, hydraulic pressure, selector faults or voltage supply problems are present, basic settings may fail or make no lasting improvement. We scan and assess the gearbox first.

Common reasons to book

  • Basic settings required after repair
  • Adaptation values need relearning
  • Clutch replacement completed
  • Mechatronic work completed
  • Previous adaptation failed

What we can assess

  • Pre-scan for blocking faults
  • Battery voltage support where required
  • Gearbox temperature check
  • Guided basic settings
  • Post-procedure fault and road check

Our workshop process

03

Test electrical, hydraulic or mechanical causes as required

04

Explain whether the next step is service, adaptation, clutch work, mechatronic repair or deeper mechanical inspection
