A DSG warning can represent hydraulic pressure, clutch, selector, sensor, electrical or internal gearbox faults. Clearing the code does not fix the underlying problem.

Technical note

The most useful diagnosis combines fault-code context with live data and symptom behaviour, including whether the fault appears cold, hot, under load or during a specific gear change.

Common reasons to book

  • PRNDS flashing
  • Gearbox cog warning
  • Transmission malfunction message
  • Vehicle drops into neutral
  • Only some gears available
  • Warning returns after restart

What we can assess

  • Transmission scan
  • Freeze-frame review
  • Clutch/selector live data
  • Pressure and electrical checks where relevant
  • Fault reproduction attempt
  • Repair direction
