A safety certificate inspection assesses the prescribed roadworthy items at the time of inspection. It is separate from a full mechanical condition report or pre-purchase inspection.

Technical note

If the vehicle does not pass, the failed items need to be rectified and the vehicle presented within the applicable reinspection requirements.
